With more than 20 years of experience in operations management, Zach Mangochi is currently service as Director of Operations for the Office of the President in Malawi. Previously, Zach was the powerhouse behind PSI/Malawi’s efforts to deliver essential health products to vulnerable rural communities. As Head of Operations, he oversaw projects funded by major donors like USAID, UNICEF, and the Global Fund, expanding PSI’s reach to over 600 health centers and numerous private outlets across Malawi through a social marketing approach.

Zach’s expertise spans logistics, finance, engineering, and general management, making him a versatile and results-driven leader. His hands-on, team-oriented approach, combined with innovative thinking, has been key to PSI/Malawi's success. Known for his performance-based management style, Zach empowers his teams, fosters growth, and drives achievement with diplomacy and precision.

With an MBA from Exploits University, ACCA certification in financial management, and an advanced certificate in automobile engineering from City and Guilds of London, Zach’s academic background complements his practical skills. His experience managing large-scale, donor-funded projects positions him as a vital asset to Freshwater Project International, where he applies his expertise to ensure the delivery of clean water to rural areas in Malawi and beyond. Zach's leadership and commitment are instrumental in advancing Freshwater’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable water solutions.
